The more we train, the better prepared we are for real life situations. That is why at New Baltimore Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company, we hold training sessions at least once a week, and sometimes more often. Our job in the fire service is to protect lives and property, and with the proper training, we can perform more effectively and efficiently to achieve that goal.
Though there are limitless scenarios that we can plan for training, sometimes it is just as important to go back to the basics. Knowing how to throw a ladder and where to place that ladder could save not only the life of a victim, but the life of a fellow firefighter.
